Céleste Lunaire Pendant

Throughout history, diamonds have been revered as fragments of the divine, stars fallen to earth, tears of the gods, or lightning crystallised in stone. Today, they remain at the heart of high jewellery, treasured for both their natural rarity and the artistry required to unlock their brilliance. Their story is one of beauty and power, a reflection of nature’s perfection and human devotion to excellence.

At George Hakim, we are uncompromising in our diamond selection. Beyond the strict gemological standards of the 4Cs, we seek only stones that carry a soul, those with exceptional presence and beauty. Every diamond we choose must meet the highest standards of excellence, adhering to a philosophy that is as demanding as it is passionate.

We select carat weights that enhance design and harmony. Each diamond is proportioned to reveal its maximum beauty and brilliance.

The cut is where mastery meets light. Even the purest diamond cannot reveal its fire without precision in angles, symmetry, and polish. An excellent cut transforms a diamond from simple crystal to living brilliance, a reflection of our artistry as jewellers united with nature’s perfection.

When it comes to colour, we favour stones that radiate pure, vibrant light, from icy whites to the most refined fancy shades. Each diamond within a creation is carefully matched; we never mix colour tones, ensuring that every jewel displays perfect visual harmony.

For clarity, we select only diamonds of exceptional purity, predominantly VVS clarity, where any natural inclusions are invisible to the naked eye, preserving each gem’s flawless appearance and inner light.

Despite their unmatched hardness, diamonds should always be treated with care. Household chemicals may dull the brilliance of their setting, and diamonds can scratch one another if stored together. We recommend cleaning gently with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush, followed by drying with a lint-free cloth. To preserve their glow, store your jewels in our George Hakim boxes or GH pouches, designed to protect and honour their radiance while surrounding them with elegance.

The beauty of sapphire lies first and foremost in its colour. Deep, velvety blues are the most celebrated, while shades of pink, yellow, green, and the rare orange-pink padparadscha reveal the gem’s extraordinary variety. Each sapphire is one of a kind, and at George Hakim we select them with great care, seeking only those that display the richest tones and the most harmonious brilliance.

Sapphire is at the heart of many of our high jewellery designs, admired not only for its beauty but also for its resilience. Its durability allows us to create jewels meant to endure, pieces that can be worn, loved, and passed down through generations. Whether standing as the centrepiece of a bold design or complementing other precious gems, sapphire brings distinction and calm radiance to every creation.

Sapphire is naturally strong, second only to diamond in hardness, yet it deserves care to maintain its polish. We recommend cleaning with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush, while avoiding harsh chemicals or sharp impacts. To protect its brilliance, we advise storing it in our George Hakim boxes or GH pouches, crafted to safeguard fine jewels.
